Responsibilities

The City Manager is appointed by the City Commission and serves as the administrative head of the City. The City Manager provides professional leadership for the administration and execution of policies formulated by the City Commission and implements projects approved by the Commission. The City Manager is also responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring programs to meet current as well as future fiscal and operational needs of the City.

Pat on the Back Program

The City Manager's Office oversees the Pat on Back employee recognition program. This program is designed to encourage employees to be team players and serve as a reminder that their job, regardless of how simple or routine one may think it is, is for the benefit of our community.

When someone feels that an employee is worthy of a “Pat on the Back,” the nominator should complete the nomination form and return it to Roxana Arjon at roxanaa@dodgecity.org or at the Municipal Services Building at 100 Chaffin Rd.
