The G.R.E.A.T. middle school curriculum is a skills-based curriculum designed to produce knowledge and attitudinal and behavioral changes through the use of facilitative teaching, positive behavior rehearsal, cooperative and interactive learning techniques, and extended teacher activities. The curriculum has integrated National Learning English Language Arts Standards and National Health Standards and is based on effective research practices. The goal is to prevent youth crime, violence, and gang involvement while developing a positive relationship among law enforcement, families, and our young people to create safer communities.

Conducts follow-up investigation of felony crime reports initiated by the Patrol Division as well as by the individual detective. Each detective is assigned an area of responsibility to include: narcotics, juvenile crime, person crime, property crime, and financial crime. Also responsible for property room, evidence technicians and Crime Stoppers.

Consists of uniformed officers performing patrol and traffic functions. Patrol officers issue citations, make arrests, take reports and conduct misdemeanor and preliminary felony investigations. Gang Detail, SORT, and DARE are also functions of the Patrol Division.

Responsible for the maintenance, computer entry, and required state reporting of all records and reports.

Responsible for insuring officers meet state mandated training requirements, hiring, promtional testing, grant writing and maintenance, and designated internal affairs investigations.
