[ARCHIVED] Holiday Hours and Service Changes | 2021 Christmas & the New Year

City of Dodge City facilities and services, aside from public safety, will be closed Friday, December 24, 2021, in observance of the Christmas holiday and on Friday, December 31, 2021, and Monday, January 3, 2022, in observance of the New Year.  

Sanitation services for Friday routes will be picked up on Thursday, December 23, and December 30. Routes for sanitation services on Monday, December 27, and Monday, January 3 will run until 11 am each day. Please ensure that polycarts are placed at the curb by 7:00 am, and all trash bagged and securely tied.  Grass pick-up may not occur the week of December 27 – 31, and trash set out late may not be picked up until the next business day.

Public transportation services will also be closed Friday, December 24, Friday, December 31, and Monday, January 3.  

The Jane Longmeyer Recycling Center building and the outside drop-off bins will be closed December 24 through 26 for the Christmas holiday and December 31 through January 3 for the New Year's Holiday. We ask recycling customers to please plan to bring recyclables during our staffed-operating hours this holiday season.

The location to dispose of real Christmas trees is in Wright Park, just east of the dog park, beginning Sunday, December 26, until Sunday, January 9, 2022.  All decorations, tinsel, stands, and plastic covers must be removed.
