Newcomers and underserved populations learn about and participate in governmental, nonprofit, and volunteer opportunities. All Dodge City residents are encouraged to participate in civic life opportunities, including increasing access to leadership, and community participation.
Current Efforts
★ Voting Videos: In partnership with the Ford County Election Office, the City has created voting videos that explain and break down the various parts that make up the voting process.
★ Free Rides to the Polls: The City of Dodge City provides Dodge City residents with a free ride to the polls to vote early in office or vote on Election Day.
★ Employee Poll Worker Program: To ensure elections are run effectively and meet the needs of Spanish voters, the City allows employees to volunteer as poll workers while still receiving their normal salary.
