South 2nd Ave. from McArtor Rd. to US HWY 56/400 Shut down effective April 26th

Starting Wednesday, April 26th, The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will be shutting down South 2nd Avenue from McArtor Road to US Highway 56/400. The remaining three approaches to the US 56/400 and US 283 intersection will stay open to traffic throughout construction. Businesses along South 2nd Ave. between McArtor Rd. and US HWY 56 will remain accessible. This section of South 2nd Ave. will be shut down until the project is complete. At a later date, the KDOT project will also include construction on the intersection of Minneola Rd. and 2nd Ave. For those in town wishing to access US 56/400 and US 283, we suggest using the following alternatives: E. Wyatt Earp Blvd., E. Trail St., S. 14th Ave., or W. McArtor Rd. Thank you for your patience.
