Order of Discussion

Generally, the order of discussion after introduction of an item by the Mayor or the City Manager includes comments and information by staff, followed by Commission questions or inquiries. The applicant and interested citizens may then speak on the item. At the close of the public discussion, the item will be considered by the Commission and action taken.

Addressing the Commission

Citizens may address the Commission on items under discussion if recognized by the Mayor. When addressing the Commission, please state your name and address. In order to ensure that all persons may have the opportunity to speak, a time limit may be set by the Mayor for each speaker.

Public Comment

A citizen desiring to speak on an item which is not on the agenda may do so under Visitors. Discussion is limited to five minutes per individual, 15 minutes per topic. The Commission may not take immediate action; however, items introduced under Visitors may become agenda items for later meetings.

Agenda Information

The City Commission meets the first and third Monday of the month. Copies of the agenda are available in the City Manager's office on Friday morning preceding the regularly scheduled evening meetings (if all documents are ready and submitted) or in the Agenda section of the website.

Items for the agenda should be submitted to the City Manager's office prior to 12:00 noon Tuesday preceding the regularly scheduled meeting. Information regarding the City or the Agenda may be obtained from:
