Command Structure and Supervision

Command Structure and Supervision

The Citizen Auxiliary program answers directly to the Patrol Bureau Lieutenant. Field supervision is provided through Patrol Sergeants or Detectives in the same manner as sworn Officers.

The Auxiliary has a defined organizational structure, led by a Chairman and the Board of Directors. These groups meet regularly with the Lieutenant as a management team, to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, monitor and develop policy specific to the Auxiliary, and charged with handling any disciplinary matters. The entire membership meets monthly.
