Water is obtained from groundwater from the Ogallala Aquifer.
There are currently 21 wells and more than 148 miles of water main in our distribution system.
Over 2 billion gallons of water is delivered to our customers yearly.
The system includes over 800 fire hydrants and 2,000 valves.
The division samples the system periodically to insure compliance with the Safe Water Drinking Act standards and to meet strict KDHE compliance guidelines.
