Dodge City Commission

Your City Commissioners

The Dodge City Commission is made up of five elected Dodge City residents. The commissioners serve four or two-year terms, depending on the amount of votes they receive in the elections. The mayor and vice-mayor are selected annually by the current commissioners.

Monte Broeckelman
Monte Broeckelman was elected in April, 2008 to a 4-year term.  Monte is employed at 
the Dodge City Coop.  He and his wife, Gina have five children, Derrick, Tyler, Spencer,
Jaci, and Abby.

Jim Sherer was reelected in April 2010 to a 2-year term.  Jim and his wife, Nancy

E. Kent Smoll

E. Kent Smoll was reelected to the City Commission in April 2010 to a 4-year term. 
He is the Mayor of Dodge City.  Kent is the managing partner of Smoll & Banning,
CPA's, LLC.  Kent and his wife, Dee have two grown daughters, Jennifer and Katie.

Rick Sowers

Rick Sowers was reelected in April 2010 to a 4-year term.  Rick is employed at The Sound Shop, Inc.
