Street Bricks For Sale

The City of Dodge City is again selling used street pavers to area citizens and businesses. The brick selling program was successful in 2016 and many area individuals were able to obtain historic street bricks for beautification projects. The City is renewing the program in 2017 based on demand.  

These bricks were reclaimed from prior street projects-and we think that they could get a second life in the community as a part of your garden or patio project!

The pavers could be one of several sizes but most are around 4" x 2 3/4" x 8 1/2" . They have a unique weathered appearance from their years of service in our community. These are heavy duty pavers designed to handle automobile traffic.

  • Go green! These bricks can be put back into service.


In the event of sustained rain or inclement weather, the Brick Days will be cancelled and individuals can get bricks at a later day. Please call City Hall at 620 225 8100 to check the status.

Brick Sale Information

Where: The bricks are currently being stored at the Brickyard (also known as the Old Dog Pound or 532 US 56 Highway). The bricks have been piled up and stored there for some time. Here is a link to photos of the bricks and directions to the Brickyard.

How much: The pavers are being sold for 5 cents each or $25 for a standard size pickup truck load. Bricks must be paid for in advance before you load (see below).

When: That Depends. If you are using a pickup truck to pick up your bricks, you qualify for one of the  "Brick Days" that we are scheduling for small quantity brick sales. See the schedule below. If you are going to want to use a trailer or want larger quantities, please contact Ryan Reid 620-225-8100 for more information and to discuss scheduling.

Scheduled Brick Days (Small Quantity, using pick up truck)

Friday May 12th, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Friday May 26th, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Friday June 9th, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Friday June 23rd, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Friday, July 7th, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Friday, July 21st, 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Who Loads?: Customer will be responsible for loading the bricks. They are currently loose and may require some sorting by the customer.

How to get them:
1. Come to City Hall at 806 N. Second Avenue and speak to the Utility Billing counter to purchase and get a receipt prior to the Brick Pick Up Days.
2. Go the the Brickyard at one of the Brick Pick Up Days at the times listed. You must present your receipt to the staff member onsite in order to load your bricks.
3. Load up your bricks!


Please remember  local laws and ordinances concerning brick placement will apply to the use of these bricks. For example, in the City of Dodge City, bricks cannot be used for public sidewalks or driveway approaches in the right of way.
