SHERIDAN CENTER RULES
- No food, drink or tobacco products in the Gym
- No dunking or hanging on basketball rim
- Profanity will not be tolerated
- All patrons should be dress appropriately
- Patrons shall obey all Sheridan Center Staff
instructions
- No harassment of other Sheridan Center patrons or Staff
The above offenses may result in a suspension of one day
to
one month, depending on the age of the person breaking the
rule and the severity of the infraction.
- No alcohol or drugs allowed in the Sheridan Center
- No fighting will be tolerated
- No possessing a weapon of any kind
- No excessive arguing with other patrons during an
activity in the gym
- No inappropriate physical contact between patrons
- No vandalism or abuse to any part of the building
The above offenses may result in a suspension of one to
six
months, depending on the age of the person breaking the
rule
and the severity of the infraction.
Sheridan Center Guidelines:
Ø In
instances where an infraction also results in the breaking of a law, the
police will be notified.
Ø Children
5 years of age or younger should be directly supervised by an adult 16 years
or older.
Ø If
there are players waiting to play basketball, a challenge system shall be
utilized. If there is an excessive number of players waiting, the cross
courts shall be used.
Ø Basketballs
may be checked out at the front desk, when you are done with balls, return
them to the front desk. Basketball should only be bounced in the gym.
Ø The
Wellness Center and the Indoor Pool have their own set of rules specific to
each area, be sure to look for them in each location.
Ø Keep
noise to a minimum in the front part of the building as the Parks and
Recreation Staff have office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
