South Plant


  • In 2016 1.87 billon gallons of water was pumped for irrigation

In 1993 and 2000, the Dodge City, Kansas project won the EPA’s 1st place award for Operations and Maintenance Excellence category for a large non-discharging facility.

In addition the plant has also been awarded the Kansas Water Environmental Association’s Plant of the Year Award for large non-discharging plant in 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014,  2016, and 2017.

For the efforts in expanding the plant in 2003, the National League of Cities awarded Dodge City the James C. Howland Municipal Enrichment Silver Award.
